Viaje a México a hacer negocios - Trade Mission to Mexico - March/Marzo 2007

La Agencia para el Desarrollo Internacional de los Estados Unidos (USAID) ha otorgado un grant al Centro de Desarrollo de la Pequeña Empresa (SBDC) "Corporacion Chrysler" de la Universidad de Duquesne para incrementar negocios entre los Estados de Pensilvania en EEUU y los Estados de Aguascalientes y Jalisco en México.  Para lograr este fin, se ha identificado a 4 grupos:

-          se otorgarán 4 becas de MBA a estudiantes mexicanos,

-         se invitara a un grupo de7 consultores mexicanos en Febrero del 2007

-         se invitara a 2 profesores mexicanos en Febrero del 2007 por dos semanas

-         se organizara misiones comerciales a México, empezando en marzo del 2007. Se invita a las siguientes industrias participantes: automotriz, electrónica, equipos médicos, agro industria, y software y sistemas de información.  También se aceptarán como excepciones a las siguientes industrias: aceros, medioambientales, textiles y artesanías. Doing Business with Mexico: The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has selected the Duquesne University Chrysler Corporation Small Business Development Center (SBDC) as the recipient for the 3-year grant to increase trade between the States of Pennsylvania in the U.S. and the States of Aguascalientes and Jalisco in Mexico.  To achieve this goal, we will target 4 groups:

- will be given 4-full MBA scholarships to Mexican students;

- a group of 7 SBDC business consultants will visit Pittsburgh in February 2007 for two weeks. 

- a group of 2 professors will be here also in February 2007

- trade mission to Mexico for March 2007.  The following industries will be invited to participate: automotive, electronics, medical equipment, food technology and software/IT. 3-YEAR PROJECT COMPANY TRADE MISSION WITH MÉXICO

The Global Business Program from the Duquesne University Chrysler Corporation Small Business Development Center will be taking Pennsylvania companies (Pittsburgh, Philly, Harrisburg and from all over the State) to Mexico to do business next year in March 2007.  The focus will be to get Pittsburgh region companies, but this mission is for Pennsylvania companies.  The State of PA offers a grant (up to $5,000) for the local Pittsburgh companies to travel.  The trade mission will go to the two States we got the project initiated: Aguascalientes and Jalisco (Guadalajara).  Any small company or medium company is encouraged to attend.

By January we will need the list of companies participating in the mission. Dates: March 19-23, 2007 (The third week of March) suggested as a result of our visit to Mexico. For more information, contact Brent Rondón at rondon@duq.edu.
