Mexico Lindo Mercado y Galeria de Artesanias in Squirrel Hill will present an exhibition of wood carvings and prints by Mexican-American artist Alexis Hugo Nutini.  The exhibition includes a grouping of work from the artist’s Fulbright grant in Barcelona and his recent graduate study in Rome. The large monochromatic pieces that will be on display explore the artist’s identity as a Mexican-American and his experience living in Spain and Italy.  Visually he portrays his multicultural background and unique world view through a collage method that results in huge schizophrenic compositions.  Intertwining figures, inverted perspectives and radical scale shifts expose personal elements of his life and reveal his vision of a world without boundaries. August 16th – 30th Opening Reception Friday 18th, 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. 2027 Murray Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15217 - 412.422.9984.
